Vatican City, Rome
Recommendation: Every Sunday at 12 the Pope comes out of his window to give a blessing to the public. If you are staying for the weekend I would recommend visiting the Vatican on Sunday to get to incorporate his blessing into your day.
Spanish Steps and Colosseum
Inside the Colosseum
Pantheon Rome, Italy
Recommendation: All of the monuments in Rome you are able to walk to so if you have the time and it is a nice day out I would recomend walking. You get to see all of the small side streets and locals.
Eating Recommendation: You always benefit more by eating on the side streets and local cafès it keeps their small businesses in business and gets you away from the busy and overpriced tourist restaurants located near the monuments.
Roman Ruins Rome, Italy
Recomendation: Touring the ruins outside of the colosseum, you get to walk through them and touch them. As you stand on the grownd that the Romans once stood you look around and see how truly unbelieveable it is that parts of the monuments that they made are actually still standing.
Rome, Italy Colosseum
Colosseum Rome, Italy
I decided to take a weekend trip to visit Rome and it was the best decision I ever made. I got to venture into the colosseum and see the Roman ruins.
My classes took me on a lot of field trips to museums, churches and piazzas around Florence. On this particular day my professor took us to see the Baptistery where we learned the stories displayed on the ceiling.
Advice: I personally think that the Baptistery sealing is more ascetically pleasing to the eye then the inside of the Duomo. I would recommend visiting the inside of the Baptistery over the Duomo.
Fleur De Lis
